William John O'Connell, affectionately known to all as "Bill," passed away too soon on June 24, 2024 at the age of 74, leaving behind a legacy of love and fond memories. He was the son of the late William and Marjorie (nee Brown) O'Connell and beloved husband of Linda (nee Gawrysiak) for 54 years. Bill was a devoted father to Bill O'Connell (Toni), Michael O'Connell and the late James O'Connell, and a loving Pop-Pop to Kaitlyn, Billy (Julia), Gage and Michael, and Great Pop-Pop to Billy. He is also survived by his brothers, Joseph O'Connell (Patricia) and Patrick O'Connell (Janet), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and cousins.
Bill dedicated 40 years of his life as a truck driver for Acme Markets, where he formed lasting friendships. Upon retiring, he spent long summer weekends in North Wildwood and winters in Florida, continuing to make new friends and cherished memories. He was a proud member of The Teamsters, Local 500, Greater Wildwood Elks, AOH Division 1, and a lifetime member of the Villas Fishing Club. Bill enjoyed driving his Cadillac, golfing and socializing with his family and friends. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 9:00 - 11:00 A.M. at Hollen Funeral Home, Inc., 3160 Grant Avenue (West of Academy Road), followed by his Religious Service at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be at the convenience of his family.

Flowers should be delivered between Noon and 3:00 P.M. on Monday, July 8, 2024.
