Virginia H. Rodriguez (nee Hill), age 92, of Philadelphia, passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family on March 24, 2025.
Ginny loved to give back to her community. She would make time on the holidays to volunteer at St. John’s Hospice to help feed those less fortunate. She was committed to her faith and was a regular Communicant as well as a Eucharist Minister at St. Martha Church. In her later years, she was an active member at the NE Senior Center and enjoyed playing pinochle and BINGO. Ginny cherished the time that was spent with her family especially being surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her younger years, she liked to go out to eat with her children. She, along with her husband Ernest, were avid antique collectors and would attend flea markets regularly to add to their collection. Her stuffing at Thanksgiving was always a family favorite.
Wife of the late Ernest Sr. Cherished mother of Ernest Jr. (Pilar), Joseph (Cynthia), Edward (Teri), the late Martin (Bernadette) and the late Phylis (the late Charles) Meisenzahl. She will be missed by her 12 devoted grandchildren, 24 loving great grandchildren and 1 beloved great-great grandchild. She is survived by her brother Robert Hill and many nieces and nephews.
