Rosemarie Grace (nee McNesby) passed away on October 5, 2024 at the age of 82, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Known for her quick wit, good nature and warm smile. Rosemarie was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. She was baptized at Ascension of Our Lord Church and continued her worship at St. Cecilia Parish. Rosemarie was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia and attended Little Flower High School (Class of 1960).
Rosemarie is survived by her daughters, Janet Burke (Thomas), Patricia Ruffo and Geraldine Logan (Kevin), as well as grandchildren, Dana Clark (Charles), David Ruffo, Veronica Matsinger-Stubitz (John-Frank), Daniel Ruffo (Amanda), Thomas Burke (Brianna), Kevin Burke, Joseph Heffron, Jr. (Samantha), Dez'Rae Ruffo, Kevin Logan and James Joseph Logan. She is also survived by her eight siblings and 23 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rosemarie is now reunited in heaven with her husband, James Grace, and her son, Joseph Heffron, as well as many siblings, cousins, co-workers and lifelong friends who passed before her.
Rosemarie was a very hard worker, not stopping until the age of 75. Her happiest times were those surrounded by family and friends. Rosemarie was also a passionate Catholic, starting each morning in devotion to the Rosary with a fresh cup of coffee. She enjoyed going to the beach in Wildwood, was an avid reader and also enjoyed watching her favorite shows, Survivor, The Amazing Race and The Real Housewives. A few of her pastimes include keeping up with her current events, monitoring the weather, which led us to name her the family meteorologist, and she had strong political views. Rosemarie will fondly be remembered for her humor, devotion to her family and her unwavering faith.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. at St. Cecilia Church, 535 Rhawn Street, Philadelphia, PA 19111. Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M.
