Marilyn L. Fluehr, 83, of East Norriton, formerly of Northeast Philadelphia, passed away on July 4, 2024.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Marilyn was the 3rd of 16 children of Virginia (nee Smyth) and Joseph C. Fluehr, Sr. After raising her boys in Philadelphia, she relocated to Chattanooga, Tennessee. During this time, she decided to embark on a career as an Interior Designer. She enrolled in the University of Tennessee's Interior Architecture and Design Program and earned a Bachelor's Degree. After earning her degree, Marilyn began a successful career as an Interior Design Consultant.
Beloved mother of Wendell W. (Nancy) Young IV, Brian (Dona) Young, Scott (Meg) Young, Eric Young, Brendan (Trish) Young and the late Matthew Young. She will be missed by her 17 loving grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Ginger Campbell, Joseph C., Jr. (Betsy), the late James, Robert, the late Lawrence, Thomas, Rosemary, Marita (George) Berkelbach, Marsi, Christopher (Lori), Brian (Marianne), Maureen, Marybeth (Don) Vandiver, Sharon (John) Kleinjan and Michael (Missy). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to offer condolences to her family on Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. and Monday, July 15, 2024, from 9:00 - 11:00 A.M. at Hollen Funeral Home, Inc., 3160 Grant Avenue (West of Academy Road), Philadelphia, PA 19114. Religious Service at 11:00 A.M.
