Edith D. Hannigan-Bilson (nee Euker), age 98, of New Jersey, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away on November 7, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Edith’s family was the center of her world. She always loved to have everyone gathered together especially during the Holidays. Her family treasured Edith’s cooking and baking and she was always happy to be hosting Christmas, Thanksgiving and family gatherings. Her dedication to her family also included being a Den Mother for Cub Scouts and as an accomplished seamstress, Edith was always making clothes for her family including wedding dresses for her children. When she took time for herself, she liked to travel to the Jersey shore and made the occasional trip to the casino.
Beloved wife of the late James Hannigan and the late John “Jack” Bilson. Cherished mother of Kathleen (Dan) Moore, Joan (the late Tommy) McGovern, James “Jimmy” (MaryJo) Hannigan, Geraldine (Behrooz) Ramezani, Robert (Mary) Hannigan, the late Joseph Hannigan, and the late John Hannigan. Devoted grandmother of Elizabeth (Dave), Edward, the late Tommy, Keith (Bri), Greg (Amber), James (Brooke), Sarah, Kouros (JiHye), Kevan, Brittany (Jimmy) and Brian (Amanda). She will be missed by her 14 beloved great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 10 -11 AM at St. Anselm Church, 12670 Dunks Ferry Rd. Funeral Mass 11 AM. Rite of Committal Resurrection Cemetery.
